Greek Architecture Awards 2025-Best Completed Project Cyprus- “Aphrodite” Thematic Route in the Community of Ineia.

We are proud to announce that our project, the “Aphrodite” Thematic Route in the community of Ineia, has won the award for “Best Completed Project: Cyprus” at the prestigious Greek Architecture Awards, presented annually by the independent body DOMa. The 2025 ceremony in the atrium of the Benaki Museum celebrated the competition’s 16th edition, drawing a record 288 submissions from architectural professionals across Greece and Cyprus .

The Aphrodite route—a thoughtfully crafted two‑kilometer trail connecting the village of Ineia to the Koraki and Alykos rock formations near Akamas National Park—integrates archaeological, cultural, and environmental landmarks into a cohesive, visitor‑focused experience. It features restored 12th‑century chapels, information centers, stone‑masonry conservation, scenic rest areas, innovative landscaping, pedestrian bridges, and reinterpretation of regional flora, all designed to sensitively embrace the natural topography.Previously shortlisted among Europe’s top 25 public space projects for 2024, it has garnered significant international acclaim

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our talented collaborators—the architects from Agisilaou & Kalavas Architectural Workshop—for their transformative design vision. Their visionary work not only celebrates Cyprus’s rich heritage but also sets a new benchmark for sustainable and immersive architectural tourism, underlining the vital role of design in rural regeneration.
